 Dear Supervisors,

I appreciate the board’s efforts to restrict ocean-class cruise ships in York County with the proposed changes to the special permit process. I recognize that requiring a Special Permit is a good first step to protect York County citizens against large cruise ships, but this approach still leaves an undesirable avenue to allow this incompatible and unhealthy industry into York County. I recommend that the BoS implement an additional ordinance, in a timely fashion, to permanently restrict/prohibit ocean-class vessels in York County.

Thank you for your consideration.
